Pauline M. Wall, 67, Abilene, Texas, died Sunday at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia, following a sudden illness. She was born May 14, 1923, in Miller County near St. Anthony, a daughter of Luther E. and Edith Grosvenor Pendleton. She was married Oct. 30, 1944, in Tuscumbia to Estel L. Wall, who survives at the home.

A former resident of central Missouri, she was a graduate of Iberia High School. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and later received her Master's degree from Abilene Christian College. She taught at the Jane Long Elementary School in Abilene, Texas for 20 years before retiring in 1988. She also taught at several schools in Missouri before moving to Abilene in 1968. She was a member of the University Church of Christ, Abilene, Texas, the Daughters of the American Revolution, Texas State Teachers Association and the West Texas Genealogical Society.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Suzanne E. Rose, Abilene, Texas; one sister, Ina B. Allen, Florissant; two brothers, Paul Pendleton, Salisbury, Md., and Wayne Pendleton, Eldon; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Randy L. Wall in 1985.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, Abilene, Texas. Pastor Eddie Sharp will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Memorial Park, Abilene, Texas. Memorials are suggested to the Abilene Public Library, Abilene, Texas. Local arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
