Luther Wayne Pendleton, 68, Eldon, died Wednesday at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born April 30, 1927, in Iberia, the son of Luther and Edith Grosvenor Pendleton. He was married March 26, 1983, in Palmdale, Calif., to Noma Pitchford, who survives of the home.
A Marine Corps veteran, he worked as a structural assembler with Lockheed Aircraft in Palmdale and Burbank, Calif., from 1971-1990. Upon retiring, he moved to Eldon. He was a member of Oak Street Church of Christ.
Other survivors include: two sons, Barry Pendleton, Tehachapi,Calif., and Bruce Pendleton, McCall, Idaho; four stepsons, LeRoy Bushong,San Fernando, Calif., James Bushong, Burleson, Texas, Corbin Bushong, Lee's Summit, and Mike Bushong, Pekin, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Nina Mack,
Ferndale, Calif.; one brother, Paul Leo Pendleton, Salisbury, Md.; one sister, Ina Allen, Florissant; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Phillips Funeral Home,
Eldon. Minister Jeff Little will officiate. Burial will be in Smiths Chapel Cemetery, Gainesville.
