THOMAS, Harriett O'June [Castle] 94, formerly of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away at home Tuesday November 29, 2011 in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born October 5, 1917 in Springfield, Ohio the daughter of the late Walter & Grace (Smith) Castle. She graduated in 1935 from Springfield High School. Harriet married Donald Thomas, January 15, 1938. She was a member of the Springfield Writers Guild and was a member of the New Carlisle Missionary Church. She is survived by her children; Arnold Thomas, David (Constance) Thomas, Gary Thomas, Sandra (Donald) Ennis, Cynthia Kratzer; grandchildren, Kathy Thomas, Karen Terrell, David Thomas, Dean Thomas, Angela Fox, April Thomas, Joshua Thomas, Jennifer Prince, Edward Yates, Robert Kratzer, Sarah Kratzer; great and great great-grandchildren; a sister, Delores Griffith; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Thomas; a son, Roger Thomas; grandson, Mark Thomas; great great-grandson, Gavin Wright; daughter-in-law, Sandra Thomas; sister, Helen Smith; brothers, Everett, Edwin & Darrel Castle. Harriett loved life, her family, people and especially children. Visitation will be 10-12 noon Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the New Carlisle Missionary Church (Great Hope Community Church), funeral services at 12 with Rev. Richard McIntosh officiating.
