Robert F. Adams, 67, of 4050 Spencerville Road, died at 8 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital.

Born in Rockford, August 14, 1906, he was the son of Luther and Maud Brookhart Adams. His wife, the former Shirley E. Shaffer, survives.

Mr. Adams retired early this year from Essex Products. He had been self-employed as a home building contractor until 10 years ago. He was a member of the Rockford Masonic Lodge for 30 years, and the Central Church of Christ.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mick (Emily) Miller of 2300 Yoakum Road and Mrs. David (Susan) Chapman of Cleveland Heights; five grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Lucille Bololinger of Rockford.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Siferd Westwood Chapel, Rev. Norman Hagley officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.

Friends may call at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. wednesday.

The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the Kidney Foundation.
