Lewis was the son of David Anderson Harrold and Blanche May Haney and husband of Mary Belle Eaton. He was preceded in death by his wife, sister, Jeanette Cooper, brother Eddie Harrold, grandson, Roy Allen Harrold, and stepmother, Irene Harrold.
Lewis was a retired farmer and painter. He served in the US Navy during World War II and earned three bronze stars and two silver stars. He was a member of Benton Station Baptist Church.
