J.A. LaFollette, Native Elmwood Area Farmer, Dies
Elmwood, Nov 23-James A LaFollette 57 who farmed in Rosefield township all his life, died at 1 AM today at his home near here after a two year illness.
Born in Rosefield township March 15, 1896, he was the son of Alfred and Chloe Gilliam LaFollette, and married Maude M Johnson Oct 10, 1917. He was a member of the Masonic lodge here.
Surviving are four sons, Harland, George, Robert and J. Darrell, all of Elmwodd; two sisters, Mrs. Hess Ingersoll of Brimfield of Brimfield and Mrs. Bernice Stear of Hanna City; three brothers, Lloyd of Peoria, Henry of Oak Hill and Arthur of Hanna City and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Wednesday at the Patterson funeral home here with the Rev Merle Williams of Bellevue officiating. Burial will be in Combs cemetery at Edwards. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon and evening.
