"Stanley F. Kurpil of Liberty, NY, a construction laborer and a lifelong area resident, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Liberty, NY. He was 57.
The son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Kleingardner Kurpil, he was born January 16, 1954 in Liberty.
Survivors include one son, Justin Kurpil and his wife, Angela of West Virginia; one daughter, Jade Lopez and her husband, Joel of Florida; two sisters, Loretta Pistilli and her husband, Nicholas of Livingston Manor and Nancy Kurpil and her companion Dennis Bivins of Liberty; two brothers, Steve Kurpil and his wife, Susan of Liberty, and Nicholas Kurpil of Liberty; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In a family statement it was said "Stanley was an avid NY Yankee and NY Giants fan. He was a kind person with a big heart. Stan was my brother and my friend. I am going to miss him dearly."
Visitation will be Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty.
Funeral services will be Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Monsignor William Collins will officiate.
Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Sullivan Co. Adult Care Center - Family Council, 256 Sunset Lake Road, Liberty, NY 12754.
