Elizabeth attended local schools and graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School. On June 24, 1946, she married Marino M. Galante at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Galante predeceased her on November 29, 2002. Elizabeth was a longtime active member of St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls and the senior society at the John Duke Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family, socializing with friends, cooking, baking and gardening. Elizabeth also liked animals, especially her dogs and cats.
Mrs. Galante is survived by three children, Janice (Ronald) Bochenek of Lackawanna, NY; Patricia A. Galante of Rochester, NY and Michael P. (Cathy) Galante of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, Ronald Bochenek, Denise (Peter) Moraca, Mathew Galante and Daniel Galante; one brother, Frank (late Edith) (late Elizabeth) Perno of Niagara Falls, NY; one sister, Josephine (late Leo) Bongiovanni of Lancaster, CA; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three brothers, Angelo (late Jennie) Perno, Thomas (late Bonnie) Muraco and Louis (Jennie of Niagara Falls, NY) Muraco; and three sisters, Mary (late Joseph) Paonessa, Bessie (late Alfred) DiGregorio and Frances (late Angelo) Chiccone.
