Samuel W. Weston, 88 of Osceola Mills, passed away on Dec. 5 at his home.
Born Feb. 27, 1923, he was the son of the late Charles and Frances (Isenburg) Weston.
He was of Christian faith and held memberships at the LOOMoose in Osceola Mills, VFW Post 5020 in Osceola Mills and was an Army Veteran of WWII. He was a car inspector for PRR for 37 years and retiredin 1986. He graduated from the former Osceola Mills High School, class of 1940.
On Aug. 15, 1950, he wed Mary C. (Maher) Weston. She passed away on May 31, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sisters Helen Osterhout and Norma Weston.
He is survived by grandhildren Travis Black, Melissa Helsel, Timothy Black, Mark Puffer, Krisetn Krause, Samuel Blake, and Maureen Witters; six great-grandchilren and niece, Susan Turner.
He is also survived by Mary F Puffer and her husband William of State College, Evelyn A. Witters and her husband Michael of Osceola Mills and Helen R. Blake and her husband Lawrence of Osceola Mills.
Private funeral services will be held at Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills,w ith the Rev. Donald Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Osceola Mills. There will be no public visitation. Military graveside services will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
