KNECHTEL, Mrs. Louise (Jonas) - Peacefully, in her sleep, at Sunnyside Home, on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 1985, Louise Violet Schwalm, age 96 years, of 247 Franklin St. N., Kitchener, formerly of 29 Glasgow St., Kitchener. Mrs. Knechtel was a faithful member of the Kitchener Gospel Temple. Beloved wife of the late Jonas Knechtel; dear mother of Paul of Kitchener, Catherine (Mrs. Ed Strome) of Frankford, Ont., Mrs. Ruth Luening, Eleanor (Mrs. William Wolfhard) and Grace (Mrs. Harvey Kolb), all of Kitchener. Ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive. Predeceased by her parents; one daughter, Madeline; one granddaughter, Mary Jane McKinnon; three brothers and seven sisters. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, after 2 p.m. today (Thursday), until noon Friday when removal will be made to the Kitchener Gospel Temple, 9 Conway Drive, Kitchener, for funeral and committal service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Earl Young officiating. Interment Woodland cemetery.
