Ernest W. Ogburn, 89, of Carrollton, Ky., died Monday, May 26, 2003, at the King's Daughters' Hospital.
He was born Sept. 9, 1913, in Carroll County, Ky., the son of Ernest W. Sr. and Katie Croxton Ogburn. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the White's Run Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Sabbath Roberts Ogburn; one son, Rodney Ogburn of Carrollton; three daughters, Pat Craigmyle of Sparta, Ky., Rita Craigmyle of Owenton, Ky., and Debra Perry of Carrollton; one brother, Harley Ogburn of Carrollton; one sister, June Ball of Versailles; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Tommy, Clifford, Leslie and Robert Ogburn; and five sisters, Nancy Hammonds, Carrie Tingle, Dorothy Harmon, Lula Mae Ashby and Bertha Cull.
Services will be at 1 p.m. EDT Thursday at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton, with burial in the Carrollton IOOF Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. EDT today, and after 10 a.m. EDT Thursday, at the funeral home.
