June Ball, 90, of Versailles passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. She was born at Carrollton, Kentucky on June 7, 1925 the daughter of Ernest and Katie Croxton Ogburn. she was married to John A. Ball on May 3, 1947 and he preceded her in death on September 10, 2001.

Survivors include one son Greg Ball of Versailles; two grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Harley, Thomas, Clifford, Ernest Jr. and Leslie Ogburn; and her sisters Lula Ashby, Bertha Cull, Dorothy Harmon, Carrie Tingle and Nancy Hammond.

Mrs. Ball was a 1944 graduate of Carroll County High School. She operated Village Flowers in Osgood for 30 years and was also a former employee of the Jay C store in Osgood. June attended the Tyson United Methodist Church in Versailles.

Funeral services will be held on Friday September 4 at 1 pm at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles with Randy Thieman officiating. Burial will be in the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, KY. Visitation will be Thursday from 5pm to 8pm. Memorials may be given tp the South Ripley High School bowling team in care of the funeral home.
