Born October 17, 1929, in McSherrystown, he was the son of the late Albert and Agnella (Adams) Storm.
Joe was retired from SKF, Inc. with over 20 years of service as a draftsman.
He was a lifetime member of Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown and served as a Eucharistic Minister for over 25 years and also distributed communion to the homebound or sick.
Joe was a 1947 graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown and a graduate of St. Charles Seminary College in Baltimore. He was a member of the McSherrystown Knights of Columbus and proudly served in the U.S. Army after college.
Surviving are a son, Thomas Storm and wife, Barbarajean of Gettysburg; three daughters, Helen Warner and husband, Drew, and Anna Hartman and husband, Timothy, all of New Oxford, and Jane Lentz and husband, Barry of McSherrystown; one sister, Betty Krumrine of McSherrystown; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by five siblings, Mary Jo Gouker, Thomas Storm, Robert Storm, Frances Sanders, and Gladys Smith.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1 p.m. December 9, 2011, at Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown, with the Rev. Lawrence W. Sherdel officiating. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery.
