THOMASVILLE | Richard Eugene Jarrett, 56, of Hasty Hill Road, died Thursday, July 11, 2002 at Park Ridge Hospital in Fletcher.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Chapel of Harold C. Davis Funeral Home in High Point by the Rev. Johnny Collins. Internment will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Jarrett was born on Oct. 6, 1946, to the late Mr. William Franklin Jarrett and Mildred Smith Jarrett in Guilford County. Before his illness, Jarrett was employed as a truck driver with Claude Gable.

Surviving are his two sisters, Brenda Combs of Trinity and Diane Pickle of Lexington; four brothers, Don Jarrett, Roger Jarrett and Bill Jarrett, all of Thomasville, and Terry Jarrett of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and at other times at the home of the sister, Brenda Combs, 6306 Heathwood Drive, Trinity.
