The News (Frederick, MD) April 18, 1970

Annie A. Nicholson, wife of J. Vernon Nicholson, died at Frederick Memorial Hospital Thursday. Born in Boyds, Sept. 14, 1885, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie Duvall Heffner.

Surviving are her husband J. Vernon Nicholson; one son, Vernon L. Nicholson at Boyds; and one daughter, Mrs. Eileen V. Cross of Bethesda. She was the last of her immediate family.

She was a member of the Barnesville Baptist Church.

Friends may call at the M.C. Etchison and Son Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Monday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Jeddie DeFries, her pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
