Cathie was born to the late George "Rock" & Catherine "Nete" (Mayle) Croston; she came to the area in 1970 from Fort Lauderdale. She was a retired school bus driver, a devoted homemaker and an active member of the First Assembly of God in Lake Wales. She was a volunteer for the Circle of Friends and enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Sam Kipe III; two sons, Troy Kipe (Mary Beth) of Lake Wales and Rodney Kipe (Traci) of Bismarck, ND; sister, Roxanne Sutton of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Samuel, Charter, Cate and Grace.
