Son of John B Stebbins and Marguerite ____ Stebbins. They were likely Joseph Stebbins and Marguerite (Cadieux) Stebbins. They were married on Sep 18,1815 at St.Mathias,PQ. If this is the case, he is a brother of Marguerite Stebbins Peon.

He married Almira/Myra Brouillette (dit Bramlett, dit Bernard).

Children: Joseph Benjamin Stebbins, Sarah Rosalie Stebbins Lusty, Margaret R "Maggie" Stebbins Coburn, Julia L Stebbins Chartier. There were perhaps several others. Only Julia is found with the family in the 1880 census. And a Mrs. Osias Stebbins is mentioned in his wife's 1907 funeral notice... an Ozias Stebbins b.1860 in Mass was married to a woman named Christine (b.c1870 VT) in the 1920 census in Detroit, Wayne Co,MI.

Evangelical church records for St-Pie (1850, 1865-68, 1870, 1874-1889 missing):

Joseph Techonias? Stibens, b. 25 July 1846, Redford, Savanae? county, NY, bp 10 Sept 1846, St-Pie (Evangelical), parents Joseph Stibens, farmer, formerly of Beree, Milton twp & Elmire Brouillet, witnesses Joseph Nicolle, M.Y. Cote, Louis Gauthier. (This appears to be son Joseph Benjamin)

Dalia Stibens, b. 18 June 1848, Beree, bp 28 Oct 1848, St-Pie (Evangelical), parents Joseph Stibens, Beree, Milton twp & Elmire Brouillet, witnesses L. Normandeau, Francois Maurissette, Louis Roussy

Dalea Stebens, d. 19 Mar 1864, bur. 21 Mar 1864, St-Pie (Evangelical), minor, no age listed, parents Joseph Stebens, farmer, Roxton twp & Elmire Bernard, witnesses Marie Pharel?, ? Dalpe

Another clue to his family exists in the 1880 census, where his nephew and niece, Henry Wood (10) and Ida Wood (13), are living in his household. They may have been children of Frank and Aurilla Wood, though it is not clear or certain.
