ATLANTIC CITY - James W. Alcorn, 70, of 3. N. Jackson Ave. died Friday int he Ocean Point Nursing Home.
Born in Atlantic City, he was a resident here for the past six years. He graduated from Atlantic City High School, Haverford College and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.
He was retired as an auditor for more than 20 years for USF&G in Rutherford. He was a memebr of the Boiling Spring Lodge 152 F&AM of Rutherford and the Margate Community Church.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline M.; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Schmid of Harrington Park and Mrs. Evelyn Peditto of Medford Lakes; a brother, Clayton, and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Kahle, both of Cortland, N. Y.,, and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Jeffries & Keates Funeral Home here, with Martin Wisznat of the Margate Community Church officiating. Burial will be in Atlantic City Cemetery, Pleasantville. A viewing willbe held from 1 to 2 p. m. Monday at the funeral home.
