Mrs. Mary Annie Roberson, 73, who had resided in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Edna Newcomb, 2831 Fifth St., Peru, for the past six months, died at 7 a.m. Friday in the Newcomb home. She had been ill for several weeks.
Born in Missouri, Jan. 20, 1884, she was married to Charles William Roberson, Feb. 13, 1906 in Thayer, Mo. He preceded in death as did two sons, Walter and Elzie Elvis.
Surviving sons and daughters include Claude, West Plains, Mo., Mrs. Gertie Duffel Turpson, Marseilles, Mrs. Edna Newcomb, and Tera Robinson, both of Peru; Joseph, Ladd, and Floyd, Lostant. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs.Mattie Roberson, Tonica, and Mrs. Kate Fox, Barnsdale, Okla., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Roberson was a member of the General Baptist church at Cureall, Mo.
The body was shipped from the Pagani funeral home, LaSalle, to the Robertson funeral home, West Plains, Mo., where funeral services will be Sunday afternoon. Burial will be in the Cureall cemetery.
