Obituary for the Abbeville Chronicle April 15, 1937
Mrs Annie Blasingame, wife of J D Blasingame, died at the home of her husband in Hawkinsville early Saturday morning. She was around 70 years old and had been in bad health for several months. She leaves beside her husband, one son, Jim Vaughn of New York; one daughter, Miss Jewell Blasingame; two sisters, Mrs.. Sallie Taylor of Atlanta, and Mrs. Nora Petty of Hawkinsville; one brother, Mr. Chas. K Smith of Pineview, GA and many relatives in this and Pulaski counties.
Funeral services were held at the Hawkinsville Methodist church by the Pastor, Rev O B Chester, assisted by Rev Mr. Collins of the Baptist Church. After the funeral the body was brought to the old family burial ground at the old Smith place which is about 12 miles north of Abbeville on the highway.
Those attending the funeral from here were: Mrs Julia Blasingame, Mrs. Nan McDowell, L C Goodin, N M Conner, J B Blasingame, W B Goodin, Mrs. Goodin and son Josh, Early White, wife and daughter.
