Jacob M. Weary, 76, RD5 Carlisle, Dickinson Township, died this morning at his home.

Mr. Weary was born Feb. 3, 1897, in Cumberland County, a son of the late Wilson P. and Annie Orner Weary. He was a retired farmer and mechanic, and was a member of the Carlisle Springs Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jessie E. Peck Weary; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Myers, RD6 Carlisle; Mrs. Paul (Grace) Steele, Camp Hill, Mrs. Vivian Louise Fahnestock, RD1 Newville; one son, Jesse Jacob Weary, RD5 Carlisle; three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Mary) Hollenbaugh, 40 G St., Carlisle, Mrs. Villa Kistler, RD3 Carlisle; Mrs. Inez Sherriff (sic), RD4 Carlisle; one brother, John H. Weary, RD1 Carlisle; a half-sister, Mrs. Bessie Piper, Mount Holly Springs; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the G. Book Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Rd. at Belvedere St., Carlisle. The Rev. Colin J. Shaffer, pastor, McAllister United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Carlisle Springs Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday evening at the funeral home.
