Sara katherine "Chotty" (Allen) White, 88 of Bridgewater, passed Monday, September, 7, 2009, at her home. Sara born in Bridgewater, Virginia on July 6, 1921, and was the daughter of the late Don and Mercedes (Bowman) Allen. She was a homemaker and a member of Bridgewater Presbyterian Church.

She was united in marriage December 21, 1946 to Joseph Hilleary White who passed away July 17, 2002.

Sara is survived by two daughters, Sara Hilleary White of Charlotte, NC, and Connie A White of Atlanta,Ga; one son Roger B. White of Bridgewater. She is survivied by one sister-in-law, Phyllis Murray Allen of Charleston, SC, six nieces and five nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mercedes Allen Bunch of Lynchburg, Virginia, and two brothers, Edward Herbert Allen of Bridgewater, Virginia, and George Bowman Allen of Charleston, SC.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. At Sara's request her body has been cremated at Commonwealth Cremation Service.
