Charles W Landes, aged 48, died at 8:30 o'clock last night of paralysis, at the home of Mrs M Kirkpatrick, three miles south of the city. He had been in poor health for a number of years, but confined to bed only a few days, just preceding his death. He had been in the city inside of the past two weeks. For many years Mr. Landes was associated with William f Frey in the milling business - at the Planet Mills. Deceased was a charter member of Curran Lodge #111, K. of P., which was instituted September 11, 1883. He was also a member of Friendship Lodge #22, IOOF, having joined on January 28, 1887, and belonged to Imperial Council #316, Royal Arcanum. He leaves a widow. The funeral will occur Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Kirkpatrick residence, on the Wea. The remains will be placed in the vault at Greenbush Cemetery. NOTE: His body was in a holding vault at Greenbush Cemetery, until his grave was prepared, and on July 31, 1901 his funeral services were held at Wildcat Cemetery.
