Charleston Daily Mail - SUTTON - Karl Lombard, 50, former Sutton resident, died Friday at his home in Clarksburg,Wv.following a short illness. He was the son of the late Louis Lombard and was engaged with his father for many years in contracting work.
Mr. Lombard had lived in Clarksburg for the past several years and has been a steam shovel contractor. He was a member of Sutton Lodge 21, AF & AM. Surviving are the widow, Dale; a brother, louise Lombard Jr., of Chichago, and seven sisters, Mrs. Lula Higginbothan and Mrs. Hobson pierson, both of Sutton,WV, Mrs. John Berry and Miss Virginia Lombard, both of Akron, Ohio, Mrs. Coble Shaver of St. Albans, Mrs. Paul Hawkins of Weirton,WV. , Mrs. Albert Felix of Fairmont,WV. The body will arrive at the Berry and Son Funeral Home here this afternoon and will be moved to the home of a sister, Mrs. Pierson, where service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. The Rev. Carl Dodrill will officiate and burial will follow in the Sutton Cemetery. Submitted by Bill Cutlip.
