"Mrs. Alice Parker Elwell, wife of Frank H. Elwell of Chatham, died at the residence at 9:30 0'clock last night, aged 63 years. Mrs. Elwell who was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arch E. Parker, was born in Springfield March 11, 1880. For some years the family resided in Pleasant Plains, later moving to Chicago. She was united in marriage with Frank Elwell in 1901 in Chicago. They moved to Mechanicsburg in 1932 and the year following moved to Chatham. Mrs. Elwell is survived by her husband, a son, Franklin Elwell, in the service at Camp Benning, Georgia; daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Ralph, of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Nels Thompson of Chicago, Mrs. W.E. Atherton and Mrs. Lyman E. Smith of Pleasant Plains and brother, Arch E.Parker, of Pleasant Plains. Remains were removed to the Hensley Funeral Home at Pleasant Plains."
