Clydene Qualls Brown, 81, a resident of Benton, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014, at her residence.

She retired from Volunteer Electric after 26 years of service.

She was a member of Benton First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Beunia Crump Qualls; husband, Levi Brown; and brother, J. T. (Dude) Qualls.

Survivors include her children: Jan Flippo and husband, Gary, of Cleveland, Joan Bates and husband, Mitchell, of Benton and Joel Brown and wife, Sharon, of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren: Emily Green and husband, Adam, of Athens, Erica Jolley of Cleveland, Mickey Bates of Benton, Davis Brown and Caroline Brown, both of Tampa, Fla.; great-grandchildren: Lauren and Brayden Green of Athens; and sister-in-law, Shan Qualls of Benton.

The funeral was held July 11, 2014, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home in Benton with the Rev. David Crump and the Rev. Johnny Bankston officiating.
