Beulah I. Tatlock, 70, of Road 300S died at 11:10 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2002, at her home.

She was a registered nurse for 27 years at Columbus Regional Hospital, retiring in 1990, and then worked part time in the hospital's recovery division for three years and rehabilitation for two years.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Indiana State Nurses Association and Lutheran Child and Family Service Auxiliary. She graduated in 1950 from Shields High School in Seymour, then in 1953 from Jewish Hospital School of Nursing.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Stewart Schulz officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street and from noon until service time Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery in Waymansville.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.

Born in Jackson County Nov. 14, 1931, Mrs. Tatlock was the daughter of Thornton and Verna Otte Acton. She married Billy E. Tatlock Dec. 27, 1952. He died Nov. 10, 1972.

She is survived by a son, Kevin Tatlock of Columbus; daughters, Deborah Townsend of Indianapolis and Julia Robinson of Columbus; brothers, Donald Acton of Waymansville, Charles and Carl Acton, both of Cortland, Irvin and Wendell Acton, both of Seymour, and Herell Acton of Spraytown; sisters, Elsie Spurgeon of Scipio, Donna Griffith of Seymour and Alberta Marshall of Cortland; five grandchildren and one great–grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Marissa Tatlock, and brothers, Theodore and Ronny Acton.
