Mrs. Beverly Ann Berg, 83, of La Porte, Indiana, died Thursday December 1, 2011 at Golden Living Center Fountainview in LaPorte.
She was born March 22, 1928 in Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of Harry A. Legler and Ellen (Geraghty) Legler. She moved to La Porte in 1952 coming from Fargo.
Beverly worked as a Dietician for 15 years for LaPorte Hospital and retired in 1992. She was a loving person and a jokester. She enjoyed gardening and camping. Most of all she loved her family.
On July 25, 1945, in Moorehead, MN, she married Delward Berg who preceded in death May 2, 2003.
She is survived by her 2 daughters - Diane (Bud) Walls of Valparaiso, IN, Jodell (Gordon) Johanson of La Porte, IN; son - Douglas (Frieda) Berg of La Porte, IN; 9 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sister - Geraldine Flynn of Salinas, CA; and a brother - Douglas Legler of Fargo, ND.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Roger Berg, 2 sisters, Muriel Billman and Virginia Swanson.
Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., LaPorte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Monday, December 5, 2011 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm. A life celebration will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Monday December 5, 2011 at 4:00 pm with Rev. Freeman Schrock officiating. Cremation will follow with the burial of ashes in Patton Cemetery at a later date.
