Lucy Garrard Sproles, 94, a resident of Greenwood for 75 years died Sept. 15, 2005. Mrs. Sproles was a homemaker and a native of Carroll County. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She lived her life caring for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Wilson Sproles. She was survived by three daughters, Ann Burnham of Vardaman, Patsy Allison of Tippo and Belinda Clolinger of Greenwood; two sons, Johnny Sproles of Greenwood and Charles Sproles of Winona; three sisters, Estelle Ballard and Lorene Jackson, both of Greenwood, and Pauline Reid of Winona; one brother, Holman Garrard of Greenwood; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery Greenwood, Leflore Co., Ms.
