Moses Levi Garrard, 57, died at his home in the Valley Hill community this morning after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at Centerville church Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock conducted by Rev. W. D. Baugh of Carrollton. Burial will be made in Centerville cemetery with Lee Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Garrard was born at Lexington but had lived most of his lifetime at Valley Hill where he was a farmer. He had been an invalid the past 15 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Wilm Alma Garrard and the following children: Sam Garrard, Charles H. Garrard, Levi Garrard, Jr., Sidon; W. G. Garrard, Mrs. Rogers, Jackson, Miss Edna Garrard, Miss Pauline Garrard, Greenwood; Mrs. Frank K. Ballard. Shaw; two brothers, C. M. Garrard, Carrollton; S. G. Garrard, Holcomb; a sister, Mrs. Mallie Tingle, Isola.
