Shirley Golomb, 89, died Sunday, June 21, 2009, in Foothill Acres Nursing Home. She was born in New York City and grew up in Newark and raised her family in Woodbridge before moving to Hillsborough in 1993. Shirley was a homemaker. She was a member of the Hillsborough Senior Citizens Chapter B and the Hillsborough Rockettes. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Julius, in 1990; and her sister, Caroline Cohen, in 2005. Surviving are her sons, Robert and his wife Joanne Golomb of Hillsborough, and Marc and his wife Aileen Golomb of Milford; her brother, Edwin Brommer of Somerset; and her four grandchildren, Erica, Michael, Leslie and Brad.
Relatives and friends may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 24 until the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the Hillsborough Funeral Home, 796 Route 206, Hillsborough. Burial will be in Beth Israel Cemetery.
