Julia M. Blaskie, age 72, of 422 Mill Street, Bronson, died at 2 a.m. Monday, June 19, 1972 in her home. She had been in failing health the last two months, and seriously ill the last two weeks.
She was born in Sherwood, January 8, 1900, to Michael and Anna (Karpinski) Francisco. She married Peter R. Blaskle on February 6, 1917 in Bronson. They moved to Bronson from Sherwood in 1928.
She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sturgis.
She is survived by her husband; four sons, Theodore of Sturgis, James of Bronson, Sgt. Raymond Blaskie of Ft. Bliss, Texas and Sgt. Leon Blaske of Austin, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. William (Genevieve) Cadman and Mrs. Robert (Theresa) Crossman, both of Burr Oak, Gertrude Blaskie of Bronson and Mrs. John (Angeline) Tierney of Elkhart, Indiana; 15 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Grocholski and Frank (Agnes) Kibiloski, both of Bronson, and Mrs. Fred (Clara) Mohr of Sherwood; and several nieces and nephews.
One son, John C. Blaskie, died in 1970.
Friends may call at the Foglesong Funeral Home beginning Tuesday noon. The Rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held in Holy Angles Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. William G. Limbert officiating. Burial will take place in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
