Ms. Jocelyn Bowman, 36, was a Smyrna resident. A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM Thursday, December 1, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Snellville, GA, with the Rev. Guy Priester officiating. Jocelyn was a member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in Atlanta, a graduate of Albany State College with a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. She was also a member of the Sweet Adelines and a 911 dispatcher with the Atlanta Police Department. She is survived by her mother, Joan C. Cooney, Snellville; sister & brother-in-law, Joni K. & Kenneth Barrett; nieces, Janae Bowman and Jada Bowman; nephew, Jordan Taylor, all of Austell; Maternal Grandmother: Mrs. Annie Fowler, Fayetteville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous endearing friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Bank of America in memory of Jocelyn Bowman. Arrangements entrusted to Tim Stewart Funeral Home.
