He enjoyed fishing and watching soccer, TV, and in his early years playing golf. He retired as a color chemist and for many years worked in England for ICI Paint Company.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie Crook, of Florence.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 28, at 2 p.m., at Burns's Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Pacific Sunset Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to the Florence Area Humane Society and can be left at the services, or with Burns's Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home.
