Born in Mecklenburg County, she was an inspector in the textile industry.
Survivors include two sons, Tim Martin and Mike Martin, both of Lincolnton; two daughters, Andrea Watts and Joy Carter, both of Lincolnton; three sisters, Margaret Detter of Maiden, Glyda Godfrey of Lowell and Hazel Rector of Holden Beach; two brothers, Jimmy Hall of Wilson and Howard and David Hall of Belmont; and five grandchildren.
