Oscar Francis Poor was the son of William H. Poor and Rebecca Jane 'Jennie' Wagoner from Delaware County, Indiana. His parents divorced in Jan 1893 and his mother Rebecca sued for custody of the children and alimony of $1000. His father William H. Poor, died in Nov 1894. His father William H. Poor farmed 40 acres by the railroad tracks adjacent to his own fathers (Thomas C Poor) 80 acres section 12 Union Twp, Delaware Co IN. Their land was sold Feb 21, 1877 for $1000 to Dora Youngs.

His paternal grandparents were Thomas C. Poor and Martha Jane Haynes from Delaware County, IN. His maternal grandparents were William Wagoner and wife Diana Knife from Delaware Co. IN.

At the time of his father William's death, William H Poor left in his estate only a total value of $155 to his wife and children. They had had a troubled marriage and had 3 children. This was the sum total of their personal and real estate at the time of his death: 1 sewing machine worth $10, a cooking stove worth $3, cooking utensils worth $2, a dining table $2, an ash bedstead $1, pictures and frames $12, a judgement against a Joshua Truitt $3, cot (cottage) number 12 in block 9 in Henry Martin's addition to the City of Muncie in Delaware County $125. William H. Poor was buried in the East section of the Eaton Cemetery, Delaware Co. IN.

Rebecca Jane ‘ (also called Jennie), his widow, remarried three years later on 26 May 1897 a widower, George Deeter in Delaware Co. IN. It is very likely that the Poor family and the Deeter family knew each other from Union, Delaware Co IN. Both families were living there in the 1880 census. This was a 2nd marriage for both of them. George had four children by his first marriage to Emma Kinnett.

In 1896 their son Oscar Poor was ordered arrested and was arrested for larceny along with a Joseph Hayworth. Delaware County Circuit Court September 1896. The charge said that the two on July 28, 1896 did feloniously take, steal and carry away of the personal goods and chattals of Isaac Lient (sp?) one pocket case of surgical instruments then and there of the value of $15. Five witnesses testified.

Oscar Francis Poor married first, Mary Elizabeth Campbell, born 1890 who died 26 May 1914 from rectal cancer. They had just one child, Martha Diana Poor born 23 June 1908 Dalton Twp, Wayne Co IN d. 10 Jan 1996 Delaware Co IN.

For unknown reasons later in his life, Oscar Francis Poor began using his mothers maiden name Wagoner and used it as his surname, and started calling himself Oscar Wagoner. As Oscar Wagoner he married 2nd Florine 'Flo' Laura Flinn b. 1891 and had a child with her, Betty Wagoner b. Jan 1918 IN. He then started spelling his surname WAGNER and died as Oscar F. Wagner and his wife as Florine L. Wagner.

Oscar's daughter from his first marriage, Martha Diana Poor, married 27 June 1925 in Delaware Co IN, Bertram Paul Morgan b. 15 Jan 1904 Gilman, IN d. Nov 1977 Delaware Co IN. They had a son James 'Jim' Lee Morgan who lives in Texas.
