Rebecca Jane 'Jennie' Wagoner was the daughter of William Wagoner b.ca. 1816 PA and his wife Dianna (Knife) Younce b. 1820 PA who farmed in Delaware Co. IN. She married first Mar 22 1874 in Delaware Co IN William H. Poor b.ca. 1851, the son of Thomas C. Poor and his first wife Mary Elizabeth (Williams) Poor.

They had the following children: Ethan 'Jasper' Poor Jan 27 1875, Ettie/Etta Poor 1879, Francis 'Oscar' Poor Sept 1884. It was a troubled marriage and there are court records where Rebecca claimed physical abuse.

There is a deed dated Feb 21, 1877 whereby William H. Poor (misspelled Pore on document) and Rebecca J Poor his wife sold to Dora Youngs for $1000 their 40 acres, described as: the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of section 11 in twp 22 north, or range 10 east containing 40 acres more or less. An old plat map shows the property exactly and is labeled Wm H Poor.

Dec 19 1892 Rebecca J Poor filed for divorce, custody of their children, and alimony of $1000. Court document shows William H Poor to be 'summoned' to court to hear this case Jan 1 1893.

William H. Poor died Nov 1894 and his widow remarried 26 May 1897 George Deeter (28 Apr 1861-11 July 1923.) He was the son of John Deeter and Catherine Shoemaker who married 13 Apr 1850 in Miami Co OH. This was a 2nd marriage for George Deeter and he had four children by his first marriage to Emma Kinnett: Clyde Deeter, Roy Deeter, Mary Ethel Deeter and Meda Deeter.

Her obituary reads: Mrs. Rebecca Jane Deeter, age 75, widow of George Deeter, died at the family residence 801 West Willard St. at 7:15 last evening. She died after a years illness, the body was removed to Meeks Mortuary. Mrs. Deeter is survived by two sons, Jasper Poor of Hartford City (Blackford County, IN), Oscar Wagoner of Hartford City (Blackford Co. IN), two grandchildren, a brother Henry Wagoner of Los Angeles, CA, two stepsons Clyde Deeter of Bushville KY, Roy Deeter of Rockport, two stepdaughters Mrs. John Pipes of Muncie and Mrs. Lee Winfield of Helena, Arkansas. George Deeter, her 2nd husband predeceased her dying July 13, 1923. Their address then was 1421 W. 8th St. Meeks Funeral Home also conducted his funeral for a cost of $238.50. 

There is a 3rd marriage record for Rebecca Jane Wagoner (Poor) (Deeter). She had a late in life marriage on 30 Oct 1927 in Delaware County, Indiana she married Henry C. Clark, age 66 (she was 71). He was listed as the son of William T. Clark and Nancy A. Van Cleave. Officiated by Eugene F. Martin. Parents listed as William Wagoner and Diana Knife. My note: William T. Clark b. July 27, 1830 resided in Montgomery County Indiana and married Nancy Van Cleave, daughter of Benjamin VanCleave. Four children were born, the first of which was Henry Clay Clark.
