He met and married his loving wife of 54 years, Evelyn Estilette in 1947. He was known as a kind, generous and hardworking man having had many jobs including a taxi cab driver and truck driver. He and Evelyn were the proprietors of Lloyd's Cafe in Carencro, LA from 1971 to 1994. They owned and operator Lloyd's Repair Shop from 1958 to 1973. Lloyd's Cafe was renowned for it's Sunday plate lunches of barbeque and their famous rice dressing. It became the daily meeting place of the locals. No one left hungry with or without the ability to pay. Evelyn's family recipes had patrons traveling from as far away as Alexandria, LA. , retired from the Lafayette Parish School Board as a school bus driver in 1994 with 19 years of service. In 1995, he rejoined the work force under the employment of Lamb Services until 2001. Mr. Albarado believed in community service and was an active member of the Carencro Lion's Club, the Carencro Mardi Gras Assoc., the Carencro Jaycees and the LPSB Assoc. He received the Outstanding Citizen of the year award by the Jaycees in 1994, the distinguished service award from the Carencro Lions Club and an award of appreciation from the Carencro Mardi Gras Assoc. In his early years, he was an avid horseman. He enjoyed rodeo success in bare back riding and saddle bronc. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, crabbing and horse racing. But nothing gave him more joy and happiness than being with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He mostly enjoyed large family gatherings. He will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know him."
