Mrs. Armenta Bashaw, 72, of 2109 Roosevelt Ave., Two Rivers, died late Friday afternoon at the Two River Municipal Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past few months.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Klein & Stangel Inc. Funeral Home, Two Rivers, the Rev. Allan P. McCaul, pastor of St. Paul Methodist Church, Manitowoc, officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Bashaw, nee Armenta Patnode, was born in Arkansaw, Wis., on May 21, 1882, a daughter of the late Leonard and Alice Fur-nee [sic – Demo] Patnode. She was married at Arkansaw on May 1, 1900, to George Bashaw, who died at Manitowoc in 1939. The family moved to Manitowoc from Arkansaw in 1921 and for the past eight years Mrs. Bashaw resided in Two Rivers. She was an active member of the Golden Age Club at Two Rivers up to the time of her illness.
Surviving Mrs. Bashaw are two daughters, Mrs. William Klusmeyer of Milwaukee and Mrs. Carl Hoefner of Manitowoc; four sons, Ralph, Leonard and Marvin Bashaw of Manitowoc and Arnold Bashaw of Two Rivers; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Mikkelson of Racine, Mrs. Herman Fuhrman of Garden City, Mich., and Mrs. Charles Gates of Sisters, Ore.; three brothers, Anthony and Marcel Patnode of Oregon and Alfred Patnode of Antigo; 22 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
