GEORGE H. BASHAW
George H. Bashaw, 59, of 919 Buffalo street, a resident of Manitowoc for the last 18 years, died Saturday night at the Holy Family hospital. He had been at the hospital only one week but had been ill for some time.
Mr. Bashaw was a lumber inspector and was employed by various lumber concerns in the northern part of the state. He was born at Sioux City, S.D., Aug. 2, 1880. He married Miss Armenia [Armenta] Patnode at Eugalle, Wis., May 1, 1900. They moved here 18 years ago and have resided here since.
Survivors are the widow, two daughters, Mrs. William Klusmeyer and Mrs. Carl Hoefner, and four sons, Ralph, Leonard, Marvin and Arnold, all of this city; four brothers, LeRoy of Oregon, Charles of Mendota, Earl of Canada and James of Chicago; and 15 grandchildren.
The body will lie at the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home until 10 o'clock Tuesday morning after which time it may be viewed at the St. Paul's M.E. church until 2 o'clock. The casket will not be opened after the services, which are to be conducted by the Rev. Victor Nearhoof. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
