Funeral services for William Ross, 86, of Akron, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic church at Akron. Rev. John Schissel will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Ross died early Sunday at an Akron hospital following a long illness.
He was born March 3, 1881, near Akron and married Mary Neary in June 1912 at Akron. Mrs. Ross died many years ago. Mr. Ross farmed near Akron until a few years ago when he retired and moved to Akron.
Survivors are three sons, Leo of Sioux City, Robert of San Jose, Calif., and Raymond of Bangor, Maine; two daughters, Mrs. Gene Lipsmire of Jacksonville, Ill., and Mrs. Mario Paris of San Francisco; a brother, George of Akron; a sister, Mrs. Peter Smythe of San Francisco, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
