Robert Allen Taylor Jr., 77, passed away at his home in West Valley City, Utah on November 27, 2011 with his loving wife by his side, .

Born March 12, 1934 in Richfield, Utah, son of Robert Allen Taylor Sr. and Myrtle Elizabeth Peterson.

Married his high school sweetheart, Pharise Louise Christensen, on August 20, 1955; solemnized on January, 1965 in the Manti LDS Temple.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict. Retired from Hercules (ATK) after thirty-four years of service.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, road trips with his wife, and spending time with family. He had a special bond with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He held various church callings including membership clerk, a two year work mission, and years of temple service.

Survived by wife, Louise; children: Bruce (Tammy) Taylor; Cindy (Dennis) Hauser, Craig (Lisa) Taylor, and Sheila (Charles) Moore; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and sisters: Shirley Oldroyd, Betty Anderson, and Bobby Hooper. Preceded in death by parents; son, Tony Allen; and eight sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Jordan North Fourth Ward Chapel, 4270 South Falcon Street (4145 West). Viewings will be held on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and Thursday at the church from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
