RUSHVILLE — Brenda Jean Daugherty, 59, of Rushville passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.

Brenda was born Sept. 11, 1952 in Anderson to the late Leucreta (Gabbard) Trash and the late Joseph Sparks.

She served as a private in the U.S. Army and worked at Vogels Florist in Rushville.

Brenda is survived by daughter, Stephanie Brown of Greensburg; grandson, Blaise E. Brown of Greensburg; sister, Helen (Ray) Foreman of Rushville; brother Sheldon (Marnita) Sparks of Milroy; step-mother, Ruth Murray of Connersville; step-sisters, Bertha Frasher of Connersville and Lil Crusher of Greensburg; and step-brothers Joe Sparks and David Sparks, both of Connersville.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, sister and a half-sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Burns Funeral Home in Milroy with Rev. Clarence Lee officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow at Richland Fishers Cemetery.
