MYRTLE HEATH
Blackford. The death of Mrs. Myrtle Heath, which occurred at her home in White Pigeon Michigan on Saturday October 26, was a shock to this community. Myrtle Dobbins was born and raised in this neighborhood and was held in high esteem by all. Short services were held in the Wagner cemetery Sunday afternoon at 3:00 where a large crowd of neighbors and friends gathered to pay their last respects to the decedent. She leaves her husband and three children and brothers and sisters as follows: Mrs. Nettie McDowell and Art Dobbins of Webster City Iowa; O. B. and Claud Dobbins of Champaign, and Roy Dobbins of Chicago, all of whom were present at the funeral. The sympathy of this community is with the bereaved ones. - Gibson Courier newspaper, Gibson City, Illinois, Friday, November 1, 1912 Note: The children surviving her were daughters Vera Myrtle, born about 1900, and Emma Caroline, born 21 Sept 1905, and son Roy, born about 1908. Vera Myrtle Heath married Truman Edgar Long on 23 Aug 1919 in White Pigeon Michigan.
