She was a daughter to Troy and Biddie (Wicker) Chaffins. On Mar 5, 1955, she married Morrell "Mo" Collins, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Amain (Sue), Celina; a daughter, Lutrena (Dan) Slusser, Celina; a brother, Ballard Chaffins, St. Marys; four daughters, Myrtle Johnson, Kendallville, IN, Cora Fields, Hindman, KY, Dora Lewis, Crossville, TN, and Sally Fairchild, St. Marys; and four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Deceased are five brothers, Coy, James, Richard, Paris and Leo.
She was a 1953 graduate of Hindman High School, was a graduate of Alice Lloyd College and earned a master's degree at Ohio Northern University. She retired from Parkway Local Schools after 30 years service as a kindergarten teacher. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, St. Marys.
Services are at the First Church of The Nazarene, Saint Marys, with the Revs. Tim Smith and Bill Drummond, officiating.
