DALLAS - Mrs. Maggie Brown, 65, died Tuesday at her home in Dallas after a lengthy illness. Services for the former Greenville resident will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Clark Street Christian Church in Greenville with the Rev. King David Cole officiating. Burial will be in Peniel Cemetery.
Born Dec. 25, 1902 to Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hampton, Mrs. Brown was married in 1922 to Williard Brown, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Miss Louise Brown of New York City; two sisters, Mrs. Eula Mae Thompson and Mrs. Viola Brigham, both of Dallas; and two brothers, Ruben Hampton of Greenville and Alfonza Hampton of Dallas.
Pallbearers will be Lafayette White, Tommy D. Cole, James Hutching, Beozie Willick, Titus Hill and George Nelson.
Arrangements are being handled by Cozine Funeral Home.
