Eileen (Kitty) Eugenia (Courtney) Bailey was the second of three daughters of Cecil and Mary Courtney. She was born in Detroit and grew up living with her family at 14824 Burgess Street in the north west part of the city. She attended and graduated from Redford High School in 1946 and worked in Grimes Dry Cleaners for the next four years; graduated from Wheaton College, IL, in 1955; married Richard P. Bailey August 13, 1955; joined International Missions (now Christar) in 1955; taught 3rd grade in Glen Ellen, IL 1955-1956; served three terms in Pakistan from 1957-1961, 1962-1967 & 1973-1978; gave birth to four children (Richard Martin born 1958, Steven Robert 1960, Mary Eileen 1964, & Deborah Ruth 1968); taught 3rd & 4th grades in Murree Christian School in Pakistan in 1975, died of ovarian cancer 1/31/1980 at home in Pequannock, NJ.
