James Roscoe McCracken age 63 of Scaffold Cane Rd. Berea KY. died Thursday March 19, 1964 at the Berea Hospital after a brief illness.
A native of Rockcastle County, he was an employee of the Berea College Creamery, former employee of the Blue Grass Army Depot, and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.

Roscoe was the son of the late Isaac Robnet and Urie Jane McGuire McCracken.

Roscoe is survived by his wife: Ella Abney McCracken and 3 children: Paul(Ruth)McCracken, Trula(Allen)Legear and Barbara(Billy)Wilson all of Berea KY. 4 brothers: R.T. McCracken, Berea; Casper McCracken, Boone; Luther McCracken,
Erlanger, and Gilbert McCracken, Shelbyville, Ind,; 3 sisters, Mrs. Ivory(Celia) Anglin, Mrs. Dewey(Virgie) Ballinger and Mrs. Elmer(Edith) Hale, all of Mt. Vernon, KY., and 6 grandchildren.

Besides his parents,he was preceded in death by: a brother
Stanley McCracken.

Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Friday at the Wray Funeral Home, Berea.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday at the Macedonia Baptist Church by the Rev. W.J. Hamilton,the Rev. Ed Jones and the Rev. Dennis Lewes.
