Atherton Mather came from Dorchester, Mass., and, we see, settled
in Windsor, Conn., when a young man, as we find in the land records
of that town several transactions of purchase and sale of real estate.
Five of his children were born in Windsor (Two with Stoughton.). In 1712 he removed to
Suffield, where the remaining children were born.
