Alton V. Conway, 69, of Desloge, died May 1, 1989 at St. Luke's Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. He was born April 5, 1920 in Shannon Co., Mo. to the late Robert Lee and Nettie Jane Ellis Conway. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Paul Conway.
Mr. Conway was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flat River.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Brown Conway of Desloge; one son, Butch Conway of Salem; one daughter, Cathy Wood of St. Louis; four brothers: Bob Conway of Elvins, Ray Conway of St. Charles, Linn Conway of Flat River, and Jerry Conway of Fredericktown; one sister, Edythe Botkin of Centerville; three grandchildren.
Friends may visit after 3 p.m. today at the C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home in Desloge. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Boyer Chapel with Rev. Martin Brockett officiating. Burial will be in the St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery.
